Earth Crystals

My Crystal Collection

I’ve been fascinate by crystals since I was a little girl when my parents bought me my very own collection and rock tumbler. I’ve continued to collect here an there, but recently fell back in love with them. Can you imagine playing outside  as a child, finding one of these gorgeous minerals? You probably wouldn’t have since they are typically found in mines all over the world….that was just my imagination running wild again.

I find myself most attracted to the larger stones and those which are unique. My favorite crystal is the Fluorite. It comes in many different colors and can be quite expensive depending on the size and deepness of color. This stone is also used for fluorescence. The last pictures show you what happened when I sat one of my fluorite crystal on an LED flashlight in complete darkness. We were blown away! While continuing to collect, I’m learning so much along the way. What you see below is only a part of my collection but are some of my favorites. I will continue to post updates as my collection grows. My ultimate goal is to visit a place where I can dig for my own crystals. Enjoy!

  1. These are dazzling! A beautiful collection, I esp. love the rainbow titanium. 🙂
My son goes out hunting for crystals in the woods around here, mostly garnets, quartz and Herkimer diamonds (which are double quartz). Treasure hunting!
